Legal & policies

The fine print.

How bookings work, what we do with your data, how we keep people safe, and the conduct we expect on and off the pitch. Plain English. Stuff you can actually read.

All policies are reviewed annually. If you have a question about any policy, email [email protected].

Player Code of Conduct

Version 1.0 · Agreed at registration

By registering and attending a Plymouth Kickabouts session, you agree to:

  • Treat every other player as someone doing their best.
  • Match the intensity to the confidence level of the person you're up against.
  • Call your own fouls and accept when someone else calls one on you.
  • Not take anything personally, it's not the Cup final.
  • Leave the venue as you found it.
  • No slide tackling on 3G sessions.
  • No contact from behind on a player who is through on goal. This is a safety rule: any contact from behind on a player running clear on goal is an instant free kick or penalty to the attacking team. It protects players in their most exposed moment, when they cannot see or brace for the challenge. Sanctions for repeated or reckless fouls are covered by the conduct rules below.
  • Shin pads mandatory for all players.
  • Wear appropriate footwear for the surface. On 3G: studded boots or moulded studs only, no flat-soled trainers and no astroturf boots. On 2G: astroturf trainers and flat-soled trainers only, no studs. Non-marking soles in sports hall.
  • Check the session details for surface-specific requirements.
  • Pay for any sessions you book (see Refund Policy below).

What we don't tolerate

Racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or sexist language. Bullying or shouting at less confident players. Deliberately hard tackles in no-contact sessions. Harassment of any kind, on or off the pitch.

First incident: a conversation. Second: a session ban. Third, or anything serious: permanent removal with refund of any paid sessions.

Full disciplinary procedure: see Everyone Plays CIC policies.

How to cancel

Log in to your account and hit Cancel on the booking, or email [email protected] from the address on your account. Cancellations made through the site are timestamped, and that timestamp is what decides whether you're inside or outside the 24-hour window.

Reserve list (SOS spots)

If a session is full, you can join the reserve list at £0. When a spot opens, an alert goes out simultaneously to all players who have opted in for last-minute session notifications. The email links directly to that session. First to complete payment gets the spot. Standard refund policy applies from the moment you book.
